Finally Friday Aug. 2 & Currently

Linking up with Farley
I think I might be getting old. I like Lindsey Sterling, 2 Cellos, and the Piano Guys. Though I can't take WATCHING Lindsey Sterling. The way she dances around while playing the violin ... it might be her "thing" but I just find it weird. If you missed it go back to Wednesday evening's post for my fun new don't lose everything accessory. House stuff is getting stressful. Grateful for the opportunity but stressful! Gym attendance (or workouts wherever/however you get them) ... why is it they are so HARD before? You feel SO much better when they are done but it's still hard to convince yourself to do them. New school year and Books! Lots of books. Sharpies because they are so crisp. Cardstock because I like to make signs. Maybe could have put label paper in there next to cardstock. Now ...

I will admit I am a little nervous about joining the ranks of the small group intervention time this year. If they "let" me do a book club or a tech skills or even a Lego or more advanced Word Game (ie Scrabble, Bananagrams, etc) group I'll be fine. But give me little ones (or older ones) that need the most basic of how to skills ... I don't know what to do. Yes, I'm admitting it to the blog world. My strengths are not with the really early stuff. My secondary ed background along with library science master's degree didn't prepare me for the how to of reading. LOVING BOOKS. Comprehending stories/non-fic. And information seeking/inquiry, yes. Early childhood actually learning TO read (or ADD)  ... not so much to not at all. :( Maybe we'll be able to handle some stuff like this? Maybe?

Randomness that apparently I'm the last to see. My grandpa was a farmer (Preston, ID, thank you ... Napoleon Dynamite country was my summer vacation every year for my entire childhood! I couldn't be more of a suburb girl, though). There are other funny ones on their channel. May have to use them in something. Here's one more for good measure.

So I'm still on the cookie cutter even though I don't decorate cookies kick. I love to look at DIY stuff. And try. But on an unrelated note one of this Monday's Made It really should read "I TRIED AND MY MOM HAD TO COME FIX."  I keep looking at this and thinking about ordering it. At the very least it would make for a fun Pinterest Fail pic. Even though I will want it to be perfect very badly.

Would probably be wiser to start with a simple Hedwig. Surely I couldn't mess that up?

Oh, and speaking of Monday Made Its ... I <3 this Truffulla QR Code Linked Book Suggestion Tree that someone else thought of but eventually I will be copying. WELL DONE!

Goodness. Being awake this early stinks.

  1. My friends and I love PianoGuys, and I'm fresh out of college, so that doesn't make you old. I haven't heard of the others, so I'll need to look them up.

Also, why are we up this early? I wish that I could have slept in until my alarm went off at six thirty (I woke up at 5).

    Have a great day!

    1. It is nuts to be up this early. I'm NOT a morning person so I can't figure it out. Usually can roll over and go back to sleep. Of course turning on the computer didn't HELP but you know. Don't even have an alarm set. THAT doesn't start until ... 2 days next week and 2 days the week after that. Then ... every day.

TOTALLY look them up if you like Piano Guys. Just don't judge LIndsey Sterling on her videos. Cause IMHO they're just ... weird. She did a remake of an Evanescence song that I love. 2 Cellos has done all SORTS of remakes. I think maybe U2 would be my favorite of theirs but it's hard to say.

    1. Wasn't it funny? I mean, I totally grew up in the suburbs. Was just two weeks in the summer when we headed to Preston. But those videos made me laugh. Farmboys gone viral. They were actually pretty clever. I'll figure out some excuse to share them. ;)

  6. Well, hello MS. O from MRS. O :-)

Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm now your newest follower. Gotta keep the O's connected!!

Do you have a mystery sharpie monster in your library? I have one in my classroom and by the end of the year, he's eaten just about all of them! I went out and found some on sale for a great price at Walgreen's last week. Office Depot also had a multi-pack for $5 cheaper than Target. Keep an eye on those back to school sales!
