#IMWAYR July 8

It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. It is a great way to recap what you read the previous week and to plan out your reading for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading.

Our Kid Lit to YA version is hosted by Teach Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers.
GREAT IDEA! Check out all of the What Are You Reading? participants for title ideas. Prepare for a TBR list you'll never see the end of!

More reading this week! Of the picture books Unicorn Thinks He's Pretty Great is my FAVORITE. I had to get my own copy and put it on the library order list. May become a new "beginning of the year" book to read (for my students, anyway!) cause it's all about getting to know a "person" and not just looking at outward appearances. Then of the longer books ... well, they're just so very different. Loved The Strangers for it's spookiness and more peaking into Olive's adventures. Sophia's War is a great historical fiction. Me Before You was a good "grown up" book  but the ending made me MAD. The Beatles Were Fab is just serious fun! I already have it on our first order list.

And I just noticed The Dark isn't on here (Lemony Snicket and Jon Klassen). I wonder why? Anyhow. That was an awesome one. So Get it and the Unicorn one, for sure.

Surprisingly ... House of Secrets = Dullsville. Kind of been there, done that fantasy. Bummer.

Now. The shame. I keep meaning to pick up and finish Notice and Note (so much Twitter and FB group love!). And then I don't.

I honestly couldn't tell you if other readers would like William Shakespeare's Star Wars because I happen to be an English major SW fangirl. AWESOME, IT IS-ETH.
Listening to The Eyre Affair while I'm on the treadmill or in the car. I like the funny British humor.

I have Doll Bones checked out from the library. Sort of saving it. Also A Million Shades of Gray (FYI ... it is NOT the "other" one) and Walls Within Walls.
Started Eoin Colfer's Reluctant Assassin and I have to admit ... I'm not loving it. Can't decide whether to keep going or let it go. I have a hard time letting books go. I keep wanting them to get better.

  2. Beatles book by Krull?! Must have. Give up on The Reluctant Assasin- too violent for middle school. I may have to buy Doll Bones- everyone has read it but me!
