    1. Dinosaur Vs. the Library is Bob Shea. Very short and silly but the kiddos loved it. Library Lion is by Michelle Knudsen. Not actually a super short read aloud but very cute and beautifully illustrated. Sent you the bookmarks! ;]

  4. Love Love Love The Library Lion. It isn't a short read, but I have my kinders ROAR their loudest roar whenever Lion does, and they get a big kick out of that. I think that it is such a fun intro to the library. I adore Dinosaur vs. Bedtime, but had no idea there was one for the library. So putting that on my list for my next order. ~Sonya

    1. No ... you're right. As is it's not a short read. I take a few artistic liberties with the read aloud. Is that terrible? It just works better with a big group to shorten it a bit. As is it's more fun with just one or two little ones. Like nieces or nephews on laps. ;]

  8. I love reading The Library Lion to classes at the beginning of the year. I had seen Dinosaur vs. the Library before but never thought of using it at the beginning of the year. Thanks for the idea!

    1. I actually just reposted this post as a "Throwback Thursday" with the link easier to get at. Find it here.

(And my apologies for not remembering the html code to make the link immediately clickable. First week of school brain drain and all.)
