This Is Why You NEVER Go in to School in the Summer

So this was actually about ... a week ago? Or no, maybe two now. Wow. But summer, all the same. I needed to get to the circ desk. This was what was in front of it. You can't really tell ... there are about four tables and five or six bookshelves in front of it. The entrance, anyway. More bookshelves all along the side. Plus the AC was already turned WAY down. Meaning it was hot.

Oh. And just for the record this is me standing in front of the front office door. Yes, that's right my friends I'll bring it up again ... no walls. Our library is a hallway.

I'm beginning to think I read too much paranormal/supernatural (what is the difference) fic. I need to branch out. It's like chocolate.



That said ...

1) FUNNY! Really, it was.

2) Can't say I would have caught it on my own but somewhere I heard the title and chapter headings were references to songs.

3) What is up with the offensive "whatever the Mormons worship" on page 172? God and Jesus Christ. Unnecessary dig, in my opinion.

4) Would not have recognized this quote, either. Which is kind of sad. "'Begin at the beginning,' I said, 'and go on until you come to the end. Then stop.'" (p 136 and apparently a reference to Alice in Wonderland)

5) Does have werewolves. But necromancers. That's a new one.





Obviously set up for a sequel.

A New Favorite

This is a MUST READ. So funny--all about a third grade boy dealing with a few worries. I can't wait to share it with teachers and students alike. Here are some quotes I put in my Goodreads review.
